Outstanding team work. And the messages! THANK YOU ALL! I will visit Ed Burr.
And the other awesome thing: After attending a performance yesterday of Tom Nielson and his wife, I thought that i would like to perform my songs too, and especially Tom's VERY moving protest songs. YOUR making the connection between Nature, giving a message via song..... you are one of us here, now weeping for the Wendell State Forest. You inspire me to go further the extra bright mile.
Legislators and MA judges require that logging laws be evaluated according to personal testimonial, about harm done by logging. to an individual ! THEY have no sense of the collective harm. They MUST HEAR the STORY Ed talks about. Wendell State Forest is now history, destroyed while Jo Comerford played the soft waiting game, and other legislators knew nothing of DCR's corrupt modus operandi, while global timber capitalists from OUT of STATE made a bee line to the heart of the forest, pillaging the "gold", valued million on the global market. Wendell get $ 8000 for the deal. Kids in Holyoke and Springfield get asthma.... People write about the cute moose calfs and powerful bears with cubs showing up on high ways and on their property, not just cute, but DISPLACED. Lets educate elected officials, NOW, demand they watch documentaries like yours and that of countless others, incl Mass climate scientists. Especially those who equate BIG MONEY from "Natural resources" with economic growth! ! lets entertain them, enchant them with song and (your) sights. Lets bring CULTURE to Politicians and awaken them to BEAUTY, to Gentleness, Harmony ~ NOW !!!!!

Thank you Leonore, As an Artist yourself you know the power art and love have. We have been inspired by the brave and determined citizens who have stood up for our State Forest. The Wendell State Forest Alliance is an inspiration and a lesson to us all!

Based on what you do, how well you do it, and also on Leonore's words, I will agree to go to Abington, with others from the WSFA. I only ask that you allow me to read, to quote others, etc. or I will come across as poorly informed. I would want to read Bill Moomaw's words or quote others' short statements about the importance of allowing our forests to grow ("proforestation").
